2. Balloon Boy
For hours on Thursday, the country was gripped by images of a homemade balloon floating above Colorado with a 6-year-old boy believed to be inside. The balloon came down empty, and the boy was found at home hiding in his attic. Klebold says she had “no inkling” that her son was suicidal until she read his journals after the 1999 shootings.”For the rest of my life, I will be haunted by the horror and anguish Dylan caused,” she wrote.
