Our favorite city-girl-turned-country blogger is LHJ’s newest columnist! Ree Drummond, also known as The Pioneer Woman, has a number one ranked blog, thepioneerwoman.com, and is the author of a best-selling cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Starting with our August issue, Ree will regularly contribute to the magazine—you can find her first column on The Dish, where she talks tomatoes and shares a new recipe with us. Hooray & congrats Ree! I will admit I spent three days in doors this past spring reading her blog and the story of her romance with Marlboro Man.
I hear there’s lots more success in the works for our Pioneer Woman. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving woman!

While you have to admire the PW & her success, you fans here DO KNOW that SHE IS NOT a typical, normal rancher’s wife … in no way, shape or form
Her husband was already a millionaire when she married him, a wealthy OK ranching family
She DOES NOT do all that she shows and blogs about, she has an entire crew of assistants to make it happen !! It’s all a big folky, kitschy ILLUSION
Great marketing and writing though !! Can’t wait to see the movie, the next book, the magazine and who knows what else ?? Huh, Ree ??
