Our favorite city-girl-turned-country blogger is LHJ’s newest columnist! Ree Drummond, also known as The Pioneer Woman, has a number one ranked blog, thepioneerwoman.com, and is the author of a best-selling cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Starting with our August issue, Ree will regularly contribute to the magazine—you can find her first column on The Dish, where she talks tomatoes and shares a new recipe with us. To learn more about Ree, take a quick look at her blog—you’ll find beautiful photography, tasty recipes and her funny observations on life. We’re excited for her to bring that and more to the pages of LHJ. Welcome, Ree!

Check out our Ladies We Love interview with Ree and her first column from our August issue, which is on newsstands now.

  2. Hooray & congrats Ree! I will admit I spent three days in doors this past spring reading her blog and the story of her romance with Marlboro Man.

I hear there’s lots more success in the works for our Pioneer Woman. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving woman!

  3. Love PW’s humor and style! Congratulations Ree!

  9. Yay Ree! I am excited that there is another place I can read your recipes and work. Its as if your blog and Tasty Kitchen aren’t enough! Well, they aren’t.

And I can’t wait for your next book either. I’m no chef, so a love story is right up my alley :)

  19. It will be a great year with Ree, we are so glad to have you at LHJ

  20. While you have to admire the PW & her success, you fans here DO KNOW that SHE IS NOT a typical, normal rancher’s wife … in no way, shape or form

Her husband was already a millionaire when she married him, a wealthy OK ranching family

She DOES NOT do all that she shows and blogs about, she has an entire crew of assistants to make it happen !! It’s all a big folky, kitschy ILLUSION

Great marketing and writing though !! Can’t wait to see the movie, the next book, the magazine and who knows what else ?? Huh, Ree ??
