  1. I think its awesome that large companies have gotten invovled in raising money for breast cancer research
my mom is a 5 year breast cancer survivor
    thaks

  2. My sister-in-law walks every year in the 3Day.org walk and I donate to her every year. I am really proud of her. She started walking in memory of my husband (her brother) who died of lung cancer, but she didn’t matter which cancer she just wanted to do something for cancer. I have been blessed so far not to have any family members with breast cancer, but do know friends that have survived. I pray for a cure!

  3. We are all we have, and we need to do what we need to do to make sure we all stay around as long as we can….for each other. Damn breast cancer!

  4. I am 53 and 5 of my friends from high school (that I know of) have breast cancer. Please, everyone – don’t put off your mammogram and do regular self-exams – if you don’t know how, your doctor will instruct you.

  5. I am so glad people are more aware of breast cancer and earley detection.

  6. Let’s learn and live!

  7. It is so important to start monthly breast checks at a young age, as more and more women are being diagnosed now in their 30′s. My own mother was diagnosed at just 33, and I’ve got a good friend going through treatment who is 38. Breast Cancer is no longer an “old lady disease” or something only women in their late 40′s and 50′s need to worry about. It is every woman’s concern now. And of course early detection remains the best chance in the fight against Breast Cancer!

  8. Thank you for sharing information on this incredibly important subject!

  9. It’s important to finally find a cure for all types of cancer. It affects more than just the victim but their families, friends and co workers.Let’s all work together to bring a solution and end to breast cancer!

  10. With awareness comes eradication and we are so close. Women often put themselves on the back burner to take care of their families when we need to realize we are the well spring of the family and nothing can be drawn from a dry spring.

  11. I lost my best friend to breast cancer. It is past time for us to be losing our best to this hateful disease!

  12. Lots of great stuff!breast cancer awareness supporter

  13. My mom and aunt are breast cancer survivors and I have so much respect for them and for others who made it through.

  14. What a wonderful gift you are giving away! I would love to be entered in this contest for breast cancer month!

  15. This is something we need to teach our daughters about early. My mother & all of my aunts had tumours. It affects so many, being aware goes a long way.

  16. I hope every woman that is due for a mammogram (including my MOM if you are reading this!) – GETS A MAMMOGRAM!!!

  17. I am BRCA1+, its so important to be aware and understand your risks! Breast cancer is one of the most treatable cancers if caught early! Self checks, Mammograms and Breast MRI (depending on risk levels) are the ONLY way to catch it early! Get to your doctor and be proactive! Its your body, take care of it!

  18. The cure for breast cancer has come a long way within the past 10 years. Women who are diagnosed with it are in remission more & catching the diagnosis in time to get it taken care of! I’m glad they have better mammogram technology also!

  19. Another way to support the cause… wearing all of the pink! Count me in on the contest!

  20. 55 Howard Ave.
    Tappan, NY 10983

Please enter me in the contest. Thanks.

  21. Everyone needs to be more aware of this. My mother & all of my aunts had tumours. the more we spread awareness the more people we can save.

  22. Love seeing the pink on some NFL teams. Would be great to see a pink subway train in NYC.

  23. Breast cancer awareness is very important! Early screening can save lives and give peace of mind. We should all do our part in making sure everyone is aware of breast cancer and what we can do to stop it.

  24. I think it’s amazing how many pink products there are, I only wish that there was one Breast cancer foundation in the hopes that we could pool all of the great people and resources that work at all of the foundations and find a cure even sooner! Too many people we know are being diagnosed with breast cancer, and it’s so nice to know that ways to beat the cancer are happening! I love seeing the support of these companies and the different items they continue to keep offering to help raise money for the efforts!

  25. My mother died from cancer in 1998. It started in her ovaries, she had surgery and chemo and was in remission for a while but it came back and went to her breasts and wrapped around her heart. Sure do hope we find a cure. It’s a horrible disease!

  26. Let’s not forget our men; they can get breast cancer too! I am a breast cancer survivor; early detection is the way! xo

  27. We held a Pretty in Pink event last night at our church. It was a wonderful time. We have 3 women in our church that are going thru breast cancer and it was a sweet time to remember them and to encourage everyone to be sure and have mammograms and to take care of themselves.

  28. Breast cancer awareness is dear to my heart, I managed a women’s breast center, where I saw many women diagnosed with the dreaded condition. I walk the 3 day 60 mile Susan G Komen walk, because it is a life changing event. This cause is so important, breast cancer affects men too, and more ness to be done to educate men. Thank LHJ for your support.

  29. From the Areosmith song Pink:

    “Pink it´s my new obsession
Pink it´s not even a question”

  30. My mom is a breast cancer survivor. October is a special month for me to celebrate with her.

  31. My best friend Lisa found a lump. Scared, she didn’t see a doctor until it was too late. At 38 she left behind a young daughter, a young son, a husband and me. Please get checked…

  32. It is my hope that by the time my daughter is my age, pink porducts will no longer be needed.

  33. It is my hope that by the time my daughter is my age, pink products will no longer be needed.

  34. I really appreciate breast cancer awareness efforts because it is an issue that hits close to home. My hero in life is my aunt who is a five year breast cancer survivor. She is now taking care of her stepsister who has breast cancer and being her strength. I would love to be able to give them both the things in this prize package.

  35. Is your life worth 5 minutes? That’s about all the time it takes to do a self breast exam, at least once a month. Become familiar with how your breasts should feel. Spread the word, educate the importance of breast self exam and mammogram. Tell your sister, mother, daughter, friends, and neighbors. The more we spread the word, the more we can save lives.

  36. I have walked in 5 Komen for the Cure 60 mile 3 day walks. It’s amazing to see how many people are affected by this terrible disease. We all must keep fighting for a world without breast cancer!

  37. My Mom passed away in June from breast cancer and I have 4 daughters… Fight for the cure!!

  38. It is very important to have a yearly breast exam. I really hope that one day there will be no need for pink products.

  39. If you are high risk get yearly mammo and ultrasound.

  40. My mom and MIL both died of breast ca. Both had had mammograms that were read as “negative” when they both had small tumors growing. The month they delayed tx meant the difference between life and death to both those wonderful women.

If you get a clean mammo and you still feel something isn’t right, don’t back down. Have further testing and be sure!!

  41. Thank you for shedding light on this important subject. Let’s fight for a cure

  42. We all need to be aware and make our daughters aware! I have lost 2 friends to breast cancer and one of my co-workers is fighting now and has a 9-month old baby.

  43. My sister is a survivor of breast cancer, but the fear never goes away. More money needs to go to breast cancer research. We need find a cure for everyone.

  44. Our high school volleyball coach is a breast cancer survivor. Tonight we hosted a Dig for Cure volleyball match. We wore pink shirts. A local fire fighter had a fire truck painted pink and has people sign the truck who are survivors. They came to our high school tonight and we took a picture of the middle school and high school team wearing our shirts. It was great.

  45. I have friends currently undergoing breast cancer treatment and family that won the battle. I advocate for breast cancer awareness.

  46. Breast Cancer has claimed way to many precious lives , I pray for a cure and for Gods blessings to those dealing with and left behind in the wake of this terrible desease.

  47. My friend Jacque is a breast cancer survivor. She is truly amazing and I admire her for her strength and courage. I walk the Susan G. Komen race for a cure in her honor and in honor of all the other women who have been affected. Please remember to do monthly breast exams and have your mammogram yearly. Keep fighting like a girl and kick breast cancer!

  48. Sister-in-Law diagnosed in December 2009, funeral September 25, 2011. This October Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been a daily reminder to be there for those who need you, encourage those who think they don’t need anyone, and support those who are left behind.

  49. It is important to be your own advocate, as well as surround yourself with strong, loving support.

  50. One of my best friends is a survivor. It’s wonderful that there are so many “pink products” to publicize awareness this month, but it needs to be an ongoing campaign to get the word out every month.

  51. I have never known someone with breast cancer, and I hope I never do. But, I feel so strongly about supporting these women. Cancer is such a horrible disease I can’t imagine how hard it must be for these women to go through.

  52. Please, everyone, don’t delay your exams! A wonderful lady I knew delayed getting mammograms because her life was busy, even though she had a family history of the diesase! She died of breast cancer. Also, please don’t delay pelvic exams! My mother died from cancer, which started with a rare (but becoming more common) vaginal cancer which could have been very easily treated in its early stages.

  53. I lost my Grandma to breast cancer/COPD in 1999 and I miss her every day.

  54. Fight like a girl!!

  55. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE….I am a HUGE suppporter because I know how breast cancer (and other types of cancer) can affect families. Thank You from the very bottom of my heart for bringing awareness to others! PLEASE get your mammograms, do your self-checks and SPREAAD the word!!! I can only hope & pray that one day, there will be NO cancer of ANY kind!!! My b’day is in October, favorite color is pink, and a have a GREAT love of appreciation for anything that has Breast Cancer Awareness on it….and I LOVE supporting Breast Cancer Awareness!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB THAT YOU ARE DOING….GOD BLESS YOU!!!

  56. I’m 44 and thanks to my annual mammogram, with a baseline at 35, I am now a breast cancer survivor. I had bilateral mastectomies for DCIS in July. I have been a participant in Susan G. Komen Romp to stomp, and walks, including the 3-day in Boston 2010, and a 5k 10 days after my surgery. . My advice to all, self breast exams, annual mammos and participate at a breast cancer walk/event. Feel the “vibes” as you give to others!

  57. My grandmother had breast cancer. I wear something pink every day in October in memory of her.

  58. Every woman should support all causes that concern
women’s health. We need to support each other.
We need to take better care of ourselves. Get 7-8
hours of sleep. Eat better. Get to moving our bodys. Love ourselves. Get help when you need it.
    You can’t do it all.

  59. I’m a Survivor. Exactly one year after a clear mammogram, the next year’s check-up revealed what turned out to be a tumor, about the size of a pencil eraser. It would not have been detected by Breast Self Exam. Mammogram with sonogram. Early detection. I’m alive today to spread the word.

  60. My cousin just finished complete reconstruction surgery following her diagnosis a year ago of breast cancer. Examining family history for cancer, she opted for complete removal of both breasts. She is doing great! I am so thankful. We women must keep getting our mammograms. They help to save lives, and lives are gifts from God!

  61. I found a lump 10 months after my last clean mammogram…do your self exams!! Fortunately I have found God’s peace and joy through this and I encourage others to do the same. It gives you more strength through His power.

  62. I lost both of my grandmothers to breast cancer. One was in her early thirties and the other was in her seventies. One died in the early 1960′s and one a few years ago. While there is no cure yet. Treatment has come a long way. We just need to keep going further.

  63. I am a 22 year breast cancer survivor, my mother also had breast cancer she was a 30 year survivor, unfortunately my Aunt my mothers sister died of the disease. October is a very special month for me being it is breast cancer month. I am an advocate with my realtives, and friends to go and be checked. Not only in October but always. Hopefully they can find a way to detect it before it’s to late. Once you have breast cancer you are constantly worried that it will come back again or going somewhere else. Evertime I get sick the first thing that comes o mind is that maybe the cancer came back somewhere else. Keep your chinup surivors, and keep getting checked everyone.

  64. (I tried to comment earlier, not sure my comment got posted)

My grandmother had breast cancer. I wear something pink every day in October in her memory.

  65. Having survived breast cancer in 2000 and again in 2004, these gifts of pink ribbon warrior gifts have great meaning to me. If I do not win the entire package, even ONE item would be of significance for me.

p.s. I also survived kidney cancer just last year!

I pray for a cure for all cancer and I am so blessed to have my friends and family that have
    survived.

  76. Many of my OES Sisters are Breast Cancer Survivors and others are fighting for that chance, I have lost my Dad to Lymphoma and Father-n-law to Lung & Brain Cancer also just lost Brother-n-law to Small Cell Lung Cancer. We need a CURE NOW!!!! Together we all can find a way to beat this awful disease!!!

  80. I think all of the fund raising and awareness is incredible !!! I have not (yet) been affected personally or otherwise but I support the Pink whenever I can !!

  81. As a breast cancer survivor, I am a testament to treatment that saves lives. It is critical to get the message out, not only for women, but also men. Males themselves can have breast cancer. Men are also a tremendous support system. In my case my husband was and continues to be my rock.

  82. My friend dies at 34 and left a 3 year old daughter. I want everyone to be aware and vigilant!

  83. Love seeing the pink on the NFL teams. Great way to make men aware of this cause.

  84. Although there is no “cure” there are many good drugs keeping people alive for a long time until there is a cure. I am a survivor who found a lump under my arm and was told it had nothing to do with the breast. Keep after your doctors until you are content with the findings…it’s never too soon to find it!

  85. Supporting the FIGHTERS,
    Admiring the SURVIVORS,
    Honoring the TAKEN,
And never ever giving up HOPE!

  86. Oh my goodness, this is pinkly heaven! I would totally use those stuff and also I would want to give back to the community as well cause I lost two grandmothers to cancer.

  87. I think its so amazing that so many companies support the cause of Breast Cancer to raise money for this horrible disease. I am coming up on my four year anniversary, due to early detection, I survived, when women I have met along the way have not. I am truly blessed. So thank you to so many wonderful businesses including the NFL who raise money to find a cure but to also help those who cannot afford to go out and get the mammogram, or afford the doctor appointments and lastly the medicine. Again, I am blessed and am thankful for everyday. I hope that just because everything is all pink in the month of October, that women are faithful in those self exams. I wear pink all the time to remind women that early detection saves lives, and I am the proof. Thank you for promoting this cause <3

  91. By learning and sharing with friends and family about early detection, we have the power to help women all over fight breast cancer!

  92. Everyone should be aware of the signs & how to check for changes. My mother & both her sisters & their brother have felt the effects.

I have a Daughter in-Law that is a runner and runs as many for the cause marathons and runs as many as she can. This is a cureable disease if caught early so Please Please get your Mammo. 96. I remember my mother losing a good friend to breast cancer when I was in college. Now 2 of my coworkers (one in her 30s) are bravely battling this terrible disease. Let’s do what it takes now, so that my future daughter can grow up in a world without breast cancer!

  97. I think it is very important for all women of all ages to take care of themselves. We need to be thankful for all the “little” things in our lives a clear blue sky a pretty flower our loved ones and ourselves! Each day is the first day of the rest of our lives! live love celebrate! And DON’T forget to have your mammograms!

  98. Pink is definitely a very feminine and powerful color, and that is how very woman should feel even after fighting something so horrendous as cancer. Im so glad that many companies are contributing to informing people and making wonderful pink products that help contribute. This just makes the fact that pink is my favorite color a million times better. I would also love to represent breast cancer awareness my using these products that are helping out this cause. :)

  99. This is a great little package! I love to see all of the support in helping to find a cure for Breast Cancer!

  100. Thanks to everyone who is involved in Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to all the sponsors of “pink pride”. It’s a WIN WIN for everyone.

  101. My Aunt is a Breast Cancer Survivor of 12+ years now. I was 14 when she was diagnosed. I watched as she went through chemotherapy, radiation, and all that goes along with it. It’s an extremely long, extremely painful process, trying to put oneself in remission, and You don’t just lose your hair and your breasts. You can lose your pride as a woman. If you have children, you have the added pain of watching them suffer along with you. Any mother knows what that feels like, to not be capable of removing your child’s pain and fear.
Constantly wondering if you’ll be there to comfort when they are hurting, to share with them, lifes joys… As I watched this happen with my aunt, I became determined to help in any way I could against the fight of these terrible disease. I have donated both time and money to different foundations in hopes that we will one day find a cure. From saving pink Yoplait yogurt lids growing my hair for Locks of Love, to different walks and marathons for the cause. I also remind my friends and family to get their yearly medical exams, and perform their self exams at home. If its caught early chances of survival are so much stronger. Though my hope and prayer is that someday Breast Cancer will be no more serious then a common cold. Thank you to all of you who have donated your time, money, etc., for finding a cure. It is so greatly appreciated.

  102. Lots of specialists tell that loans help a lot of people to live the way they want, just because they are able to feel free to buy necessary goods. Furthermore, some banks give collateral loan for different persons.

  103. My mom is a 7 year breast cancer survivor. She never would have a mommogram until I nagged and nagged and finally at age 80 she had first one and they found breast cancer. However they found it so early she didnt have to have chemo or radiation. She had a masectomy and is doing okay now. Unfortunately my dad had just died a month before. Thanks for All the supporters.

  104. My friend and cooworker lost her battle with breast cancer and I have friends that are survivors. We honored the survivors and the ones that lost the battle at my job for the whole month of October.

  109. I get a mammogram and do my monthly self examines!

  110. Everyone I know has been touched in some way from breast cancer. If I can purchase an item or give a buck at McDonalds to breast cancer awareness that puts us closer to a cure. It isn’t just a woman’s disease. Fathers, sons, brothers, and husbands are affected as well. My mother died of breast cancer in 1989 and ever since I have been adamant about mammograms for myself, my sisters and my friends. It only takes a moment and some discomfort but it could save your life.

  111. I am a big supporter of Susan G Komen for the cure. I lost the most wonderful Mother-in-law a girl could ever want in April 2010/ She was a 12 year survivor. But when it came back it had spread into her lungs and Brain and we lost her within 2 weeks of finding this out.. We have to find a cure and do it fast.. Thank you to all the supporters out there

  112. It has been very touching to see collegiate teams (loved the cheerleaders with pink pom poms), coaches and NFL players/coaches wearing pink, all supporting breast cancer. Just walking by people on the street and seeing the pink ribbon brings a smile to my face. I know that people care and are wanting to help spread awareness of breast cancer. Breast cancer is not target specific…it affects men and women, but the higher % is female. Show someone you know, or someone you’ve never met, how important breast cancer education and awareness is to everyone.

  113. It’s so great to see big business getting involved in such a worthy cause!! Go Pink!!

  114. GO GO GO PINK !!! Im a pink girl…Cant get enough of it …PS volunteer at the hospitil a few times a week and hold a ladies hand with breast cancer and bring her a little pink something you have hand made…They love it !!!

By the way, what do you think about this icons site?

  127. Hello, I was rigting because 6 years ago, I had a state 1 lump removed from my right breast. Every year now I have to have a mamogram. I am a minister and I also minister for the women’s motorcycle Group the chrome Divas. Every year we do what is a Ta Ta Run, to raise money for Breast cancer and support patients with breast cancer in anyway that they nee. Thank you so much. God Bless. Rev. Bartholomew

  128. First my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, then a year later I was diagnosed. I have two daughters and I’m so afraid for them. We have got to stop this awful disease! Not only find the cure but find the cause.

  129. I was diagnosed with breast cancer two months ago and am currently recovering from a bilateral mastectomy. A friend brought me the October issue of LJH to read while I am recovering. I have always read all the articles on breast cancer and seen all the pink ribbon products and thought it was nice but it now has a very personal meaning to me. I have a 12 year old daughter who has been struggling to cope with my diagnosis and has found strength by surrounding herself with pink ribbon products. She wore an entire pink ribbon outfit to school the day of my surgery and got many of her friends to wear pink, as well. Just hoping that someday there is a cure.

  130. Our company, Northcoast Health Care Management Services, has participated every year in the Walk for the Cure here in Cleveland forming our own team. Additionally everyone in the office has joined in contributing to the cause by sponsoring fund raisers right here in the office, like taco day, bowl of chili day, bake for the cause day, breakfast morning, salad bar, handmade jewelry, etc. Several of our own employees(in an office of only 35 women)have been struck with this terrible disease and all of us know one or more who have been afflicted. With all the money raised over these last many years, I don’t understand why we haven’t found the CURE or the cause and/or the prevention, such as a vaccine, not only for breast cancer, but all cancers. Let’s not give up the fight, surely we can beat this horrific disease in the very near future!

  131. I’m just finishing up a two-year breast cancer study with Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center and the Army of Women. I hope for some awesome results from the study and much hope for prevention and ultimately, A CURE!

  132. Practice wellness by eating by oeating your own garden produce, fresh fruits &veggies will keep you more healthy! Garlic, onions & tumoric are great to use to keep cancer away! Use very little sugar; since sugar feeds cancer! Fish &turkey are good protein but red meat should be used sparingly! Drink lots of water, nomorethan1pop or glass of wine a day! Please Keep a close watch by massaging your breast yearly have them examined professionally! Exercise often!

I’d really like to post my opinion that the expense of car insurance varies greatly derived from one of policy to another, given that there are selection of facets which give rise on the overall cost.
