She graces the cover of our April 2012 issue—which officially hits newsstands on March 13th—and in her interview with us she opens up about her adorable 4-year-old daughter, the importance of friends and family, and her passion for cooking. She also shared exclusive recipes from her new cookbook, Weeknights with Giada: Quick and Simple Recipes to Revamp Dinner, which comes out on March 27th. I have watched Giada since her first show aired and I have made many of her fabulous recipe’s. Her cookware is as beautiful and strong as she is and I have looked at it many times at Target. I started watching Giada on the Food Network in 2006 when I broke my leg and had to be in bed for three months. She basically taught me how to cook. I’ve bought all of her cookbooks, and try to review all recipes on FoodNetwork.com with feedback. She’s my favorite chef. First off I love Giada, she is not only beaitful but a real person. I love that she has flaws and that she laughs at herself. I have fallen in love with her sauces and food line at target, and honestly I have two of her cook books (which I use all the time). I love her cooking line as well, they are practical and nice looking. I am still hoping that she will sell her fruit and basket at target (like she has on the back counter with three tiers and some sort of netting)….

Love Giada – if I am at work I make sure she is recorded so I can watch when I get home. Love all her recipes and she is the one who introduced me to Mascarpone cheese (which I had never heard of) and San Marzano tomatoes (which I have to order), and have made literally 100′s of her recipes! Giada is awesome. I just love her recipes. I am an American who married an Italian and obviously fell short on the cooking aspect. Giada’s recipes are easy to make and reflect the old home Italian style with a new flavorful twist. My husband has loved each recipe I made from my many Giada cookbooks. My Grandfather came from Italy to America in 1911 and settled in Portland, Maine. He owned the first Italian Restaurant north of Boston. Many famous opera singers came to Portland to perform and would often come to his restaurant because of the Italian food.
My whole life has revolved around good Italian food with family and friends. Going out to eat Italian fare is generally out of the question because nothing can compare to homemade; I turn to Giada for authentic Italian recipes that ring true to my roots.

I love watching Giada on the Food NetWork. I enjoy cooking and making meals for my family. I think I get that from grandmother. She was a great cook and an exceptional baker. I think she got the most joy whenever she could prepare a meal for her family, especially around the holidays. I could go on and on about her! And I’ve found that making a meal DOES give you somewhat of an inner peace when you know your family enjoys eating it as much you enjoyed making it. And now that my oldest son is getting married, I would like to share some receipes with my future daughter in law(she is to me like the daughter I never I had, I adore her). Thank you so much for having an article about Giada in this issue! It gave me such a different view of her…and so much more respect! I have watched her on the Food Network before and love her recipes, but I never looked into her life. I feel guilty saying it, but I assumed she was just another silly Food Network chef. I had absolutely no idea she trained in Paris and lived in Italy during her childhood. I loved the article, her honesty about her life, and like I said, have such a bigger respect for Giada and her cooking.

I enjoy watching her show, finding her style and creativity very refreshing. Since I have to count carbs her recipes are a welcome addition to my meal making plans. I don’t have to make two meals when trying out a Giada recipe, my husband has not had to eat peanut butter toast yet because he did not like the meal. I want to say thank you Giada, going through a very rough divorce and 3 small children, I lost it all and alot of passion, but started watching your show, I started cooking again, making jams with my girls, in a tiny kitchen that one would have to leave so the other could get out. I had moved away from my family and found it again through cooking. Home is where your heart is. thank you. I would love this set.

I have made numerous Giada recipes with my grandchildren. We have a large family and try to gather at least once a week for a family meal. I love being able to share my passion for good food and the family kitchen experience with my grandchildren. The girls, ages 11 and 9 are really becoming very good cooks and their brother who is 8 loves it when I shoo the girls out and it is just him and I in the kitchen! We used a lot of her holiday ideas this Christmas and everything was a hit. Thanks for this promotion.

I’ve always liked Giada on Food Network, but my favorite show is “Giada at Home,” watching her daughter as she grows up and tries new foods her mom cooks! I love Giada’s shows I watch them all & have made many recipes from the shows & the one cookbook of hers I have. Every recipe came out great & was enjoyed by my family. In her shows & your article (which was great) she seems so down to earth & approachable even though she’s famous. I also follow her on twitter & find it the same, as if she’s talking to friends, she answers questions, on tv she talks about her family, Todd, Jade, Aunt Raffy & others so you feel like you know them. She brings her friends in you feel a part of it. It doesn’t feel faked. I would LOVE to win this giveaway. I love her books & products. I would buy them all if I could. I was telling my husband I’d love her cast iron Dutch oven, he said what about the ?$400 one you’ve drooled over? I said rather than ever sacrafice

When I was taking chemotherapy for breast cancer, I loved to watch Giada cook because pasta dishes were appealing to my dimished appetite. Giada always has a beautiful smile, and she always made me smile too, even on days when I didn’t feel like smiling. I still love to watch Giada cook and really enjoy seeing Jade on her shows! Giada is a great chef. She reminds me of how my family and get together every weekend and cook our Italian family recipes. A lot of her recipes are similar to ours. I adore Giada. She’s an inspiration: if you set your mind to it, you can do it. Having a anthropology degree and then leaving LA for France to study cooking….so inspirational. To leave everything she knew behind, and it totally worked out for her. She has amazing recipes I own two of her books and I reread them over and over again. Recipes are so simple to follow! My six year old grandaughter has known who Giada is since she was a baby. While other babies and toddlers were watching Disney and other children’s programs, she and her mommy would only watch the Food Network. I was amazed when she would request to watch Giada on the TV. I watch Everyday Italian and Giada at Home and I love Giada’s recipes. The way she presents them look so easy especially her recipes when she entertains her friends. Her recipes are simple and she uses simple ingredients. I have tried her recipes and I love them. I bought some of her gadgets and utensils at Target same with her sauces and pastas and I love them. I love watching Giada on the food network and the today show. I have tried numerous recipes of hers. I just made the asparagus soup and it was a big hit with my family.

I watch the Food network and the cooking channel all week-end long but Giada’s show is so warm and inviting. My husband is a strict meat and potatoes kinda guy but she has shown me how to incorporate more taste into my foods with the great descriptions of the scents and tastes of the spices she uses. Giada makes everything look so easy and so delicious and so healthy. She is amazing!
She has inspired me to explore new flavors and really challenge myself in the kitchen. The feeling of accomplishment is great when my fiance tells me, “That was awesome! That recipe’s a keeper!” He even watches her shows with me now.
I couldn’t possibly make all of her recipes, but I’m giving it my best shot, one recipe at a time.
I would enjoy having her cook book and I would be very proud to add some of her cooking tools to my kitchen.

She is my absolute favorite chef. I loved the article in LHJ – I bought it so I could read it (I never buy magazines). She is a joy to watch & I love bringing her recipes to my kitchen to share with my family. In fact, I’m making her spicy chicken tenders with honey mustard tonight
