I loved the Shoemaker’s Wife…a taste of life in Italy to the high society life of New York to the immigrants who settled on the Iron Range of northern Minesota. It is where I grew up so I know the names and customs that were spoken of in the book,

It wasn’t easy to find where to post this note. I hope it’s easier to win a copy of the book.

I’m always on a look out for the next great read. I would love to win a copy of this book rather than waiting for my turn to borrow it at the local library.

I would love to surprise my mom with this book.
She read another book by this author, it was titled “Lucia, Lucia”. And coincidentally, her name is Lucia. She absolutely loved the book. I imagine that she can really relate with this author having been one of six children whose parents immigrated from Italy. She witnessed her parents struggle to make their way in the New World. No doubt this would be an awesome read to add to her collection.

I would love to read this book. I am not familiar with this author and enjoy a variety of authors. A number of us at work read and share books. This would be a great one to share!

I love to read but the cost of books prevents me from reading new picks. I would love to read the Shoemakers Wife now when its new instead of waiting a year to find it at a garge sale.

My love of reading began early. I keep a journal of all the books I read so to recomend a “good book” is easy. I hope to win both for my reading enjoyment but to share it with other readers would be a joy.
