Monday Beauty Bargain!

I don’t usually get excited about Mondays, unless there’s a beauty bargain to score. Today I’m in luck because one of my favorite brands is offering a big one: Tarte’s 8th World Wonder, a seven piece beauty kit (a $175 value), is $48.36 today on QVC. The clock is ticking though; after midnight, the price goes up to $58.
I love this deal because the kit comes with everything you need to look amazing for spring, including shimmery pink blush, lipgloss, eyeliner, foundation, mascara, eyeshadow and a luxe powder brush. And you can use the chic makeup bag to hold your new goodies! I may even use it as a cute clutch for a night out with my friends.
If only everything in life could be this practical, and come in such cute packaging!

Three Ways To Spring-ify Your Makeup
February 7, 2011 at 9:30 am , by ekaufman
LastWednesday, Punxsutawney Phil officially reported that spring is on its way! Whether you believe that a groundhog can actually predict a change in the temperature or not, this year’s guess certainly gives us hope that flowers will soon be in bloom. With winter on its way out, it’s fun to start thinking about lightening up your makeup routine with softer colors and sheerer textures.
When it’s cold and snowy, we tend to shy away from bright pink lipcolor. As spring approaches don’t be afraid to push aside that matte lipstick and opt for a pinky gloss instead. I’m obsessed with Lancôme Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lipgloss in Spring Fling, $18. It’s one of those glosses that’s appropriate for all occasions.
Metallics are also very on-trend this spring, but can easily veer into 70’s disco territory when overdone. Keep your look sophisticated with a light wash of color on your lids. Dot L’Oreal Paris HIP Metallic Duo in Gilded, $8, at the inner corners of your eyes for a subtle highlight.
Purple eye shadow is always spring-friendly and easy to wear. Blend a plummy shade with a neutral champagne to ease into the color. Maybelline New York’s ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad in Lavender Smokes, $6.25, has four pretty shades.
