Not all of like to shout with our sartorial selections but a little sparkle is every woman’s best friend. Dilemma? We think not. If you crave some shine but not the stares that often come with it, try sequins in a dark hue and keep your other pieces casual and fun. Use quirky accessories (like a patterned clutch and cute hat) to inject some personality into the look and keep on shining, darlings.

If there’s one thing the holidays are for, it’s dressing outside the box. Put away those work trousers and stuff those boyfriend jeans back in the drawer, ladies! We want drama! Color! Shine! Crazy 3-D flowers covering two-thirds of your body! That’s right–this dress is just the thing we need to get in the festive mindset required for numerous nights of holiday merriment. In our dreams we’re wearing this fantastic frock while serving a perfectly Kinfolk-worthy brunch on our farm table. Or, feel free to waltz around your house in it with a bottle of champagne all to yourself, marveling at your fabulousness. We don’t judge.

The turkey is eaten. The stretchy pants are in full effect. Now it’s time for some serious shopping and/or decking of the halls/tree/porch/house plant. Regardless of where your post-Turkey Day allegiances lie, we’re here to make sure you’re dressed for either scenario.
For decorating, nothing beats a festive sweater and cozy slippers (except maybe those incredible micro-fleece jogging pants–we need!) Make sure to complete your ensemble with a hot cup of cocoa.
For die-hard deal hunters, easy dressing is the name of the game. A warm layer and loose tee are easy to shed in packed fitting rooms and slip-off flats make trying on those 50% off boots a breeze.
Have a wonderful Turkey Day, darlings!

It took me quite a while to figure out what to post as my Turkey Day ensemble recommendations. Fact of the matter is, most of us will barely make it out of our pajamas for the duration of the Thanksgiving holiday. So, ambitious, multi-layered outfits seemed like a stretch. Instead, I pulled together two looks–one casual and one for you over-achievers. Both looks allow for the inevitable belly-expansion to come. You’ll note there are no fitted waists or body-conscious materials here. No no, my friends. As a staunch protector of your right to a long weekend in loungewear I’ve keep it loose and chic. Have a fabulous Thanksgiving, everyone, and it’s totally ok to get right back in those pjs after you eat.

A faux fur vest is a must-have this winter, and at just $35, this one from H&M is both stylish and affordable. Not sure how to wear it? It’s more versatile thank you might think! Pair it with a plaid flannel shirt and riding boots on weekends for a look that’s effortlessly chic. Take the vest into evening with a jewel-toned silk blouse and leather midi skirt. Have fun with your accessories, like this emerald and gold necklace and green suede pumps. You’ll be warm and comfy, yet still totally on-trend—what could be better?

Copying outfits down to the last button isn’t usually our thing. But when we saw Julia in this amazing 31 Bits campaign rocking the most perfectly on point holiday outfit, we had to see if we could find the pieces ourselves. Well here you have it! The amount of cheerfulness in this look (plaid! tulle! glitter!) is downright dreamy and ideal for a festive holiday celebration. Bring on the hot cocoa, the loud family gatherings, the homemade treats, and the twinkling lights; we’ve got our outfit all picked out!

Sometimes we just can’t be bothered to wear black. Yea, we said it. Fall may be all about moody, sultry shades but a girl’s got to have some whimsy in her life (and also pattern and sparkle and even the color pink). Save those fab powder blue shoes for spring? We refuse! Store away our favorite bright frock and super sparkly baubles? We would never! We mustn’t be afraid to be a little daring, darlings. And with that, we give you this little dose of happy dressing.
