Cookies for Cancer
The Band of Parents (BOP) is a group of parents whose children have been diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer called neuroblastoma, of which there is little public awareness and treatment available. Neuroblastoma is rarely found in children older than 10, forms in the nerve tissue, and affects about 650 children a year. BOP's goal is to sell 8,000 dozen cookies this holiday season in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the disease. All proceeds of the cookie sales will go to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. With three delicious varieties and a worthy cause, there's no better reason to give the gift of cookies or to treat yourself this month.
