Listening to music while you exercise can make your workout more fun -- and boost your endurance by 15 percent. But only certain tunes have the power to pump you up, says Costas Karageorghis, PhD, associate professor of sports psychology at Brunel University in England. He recommends mid-tempo pop and rock hits with about two beats per second -- the perfect match for a brisk walk.
