All Oils Are Not Created Equal

As trans-fat oils fall out of favor, you'll notice more palm oil in your foods. But for people with moderately high LDL or "bad" cholesterol, palm oil, just like partially hydrogenated oil, raises LDL levels, reports a Tufts University study. If that's you, stick to foods with oils such as canola and nonhydrogenated soybean.
