Come Valentine's Day be cautious near candy: Sugar cravings worsen in winter, when as many as 20 percent of Americans may show signs of seasonal affective disorder, often attributed to fewer hours of daylight. A better cure? If you can't catch any rays, around 30 minutes daily in front of a high-intensity light box, available online, will help.
