Covington tried many diets before finding one that finally worked for her: Weight Watchers. For the past year she's attended weekly meetings near her office, which have helped her stay on track. "The accountability and support are huge for me," Covington says. She's already shed 45 pounds and hopes to lose an additional 70.
However, she still has a few bad habits to overcome. "Some weeks I get so busy that I don't have time to prepare meals at home, so food goes bad in the refrigerator and I end up getting take-out," she admits. Covington says staying well rested will also help her stay on course. "When I go to bed late, I usually miss my morning workout and crave sugar and caffeine to keep me awake," she says. She's been logging regular cardio workouts three times a week. Now she plans to start strength training to boost her metabolism.
