Kathy Stuart: How She Lost It

Breakthrough moment: After a family party in 2006 my mom said, "I got this really cute picture of you and Luke." But when I saw the picture I looked awful! I had fat around my elbows. I couldn't even hold my son on my hip because my gut was so big. I decided I couldn't live like that anymore.

In August I ordered a month's worth of prepared meals from NutriSystem. I told myself, if I'm going to spend $300 a month on this food, I'm going to succeed. Now I understand portion control. I also joined NutriSystem's chat room. To have somebody else who weighed 300 pounds say, "You're doing great!" meant so much. We've also started exercising as a family, playing soccer. I even put on a bathing suit when we went on spring break last year!
