Before you became a perfumer, what were your favorite fragrances?
Musk oil, drugstore brands like Love's Baby Soft, and a frankincense-and-myrrh-scented perfume -- all worn together.
Your new collection also features three fragrances -- coincidence?
I wanted to do three at once -- Dawn feels very fresh, Endless is a rich floral, and Twilight is more about sex and heat.
Speaking of sex, any questions from your son, James Wilkie, on the topic?
"How does a man get the seed into the lady?" He asked that in a cab the other day, and I got so embarrassed.
The Sex and the City star is embarrassed to talk about sex?
I just feel there's a time and a place.
So you're old-fashioned?
I might be pretty structured and Matthew [Broderick, Parker's husband] might not be. I might believe in a set bedtime and no movies during the week.
Do you and Matthew parent differently?
Yes. I think the last thing James Wilkie needs is two people like me. He thinks Matthew hung the moon, and I'm thrilled.
How do you keep marriage alive after nearly 12 years?
By not talking about it to reporters! We have a marriage like every other marriage. We muddle through it like everyone else.
Is your next project Sex and the City 2?
No, it's a romantic comedy with Hugh Grant. I also produced a pilot called The Washingtonienne.
Sounds like you enjoy working?
I do -- but family comes first.
