When Harry Met Sally

When Harry Met Sally is both witty and sweet, the perfect film to watch with your friends on a rainy day or a Friday night in.

It is rare that I find a movie that I can watch over and over again, always knowing I'll enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it. But for me, When Harry Met Sally is that movie and more.

Once you get past the questionable wardrobe choices (baggy pleated pants and big hair of the '80s), Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) are some of the most lovable characters you'll ever encounter. The neurotic Sally and super laid-back Harry get to know each other as college kids in 1977 when they carpool from Chicago to New York City. Talking to pass the time, Harry tells Sally his theory that men and women can never really be friends -- "the sex part always gets in the way" -- although Sally refuses to believe that her male friends really aren't that interested in her friendship. After the road trip, it takes the two another five years to meet again, this time on an airplane. As the years pass, Harry and Sally slowly become friends, but they're even closer than most. Eventually, the friends have to decide if Harry's theory on the sexes is correct -- and if their relationship is strong enough to survive a sexual slip-up.
