Frosted Snowflake Ornament

A touch of winter white is easy to mimic on etched glass ornaments.

What You Need:

Choose any color or design for
these frosty ornaments.

Clear glass ornament
White vinegar
1/4-inch-wide masking tape
White tube-style paint
Star stickers
Latex gloves
Etching cream
Paintbrush
Beaded extension chain
Sprig of greenery

Instructions:

1. Wash ornament with hot water and white vinegar. Avoid touching the areas to be etched. Use paint and/or masking tape to make designs. To make star shapes, press on star stickers. Rub tape and stickers to adhere to surface. Allow the paint to dry.

2. Put on latex gloves. Paint the ornament with etching cream following the manufacturer's directions. Leave the etching cream on for the recommended time.

3. Wash off the etching cream and gently peel off the paint and/or stickers and tape. Thread the extension chain through the ornament hanger and snap closed. Tuck a small sprig of greenery into the ornament top.
