Light up the season with these colorful candleholders.

What You Need:

Browse through flea markets to
find unmatched sets of wooden
candleholders to paint with
this bright technique.

Wood beads
Wheels
Spools
Acrylic paints in desired colors
Paintbrush
Chenille stems
Thick white crafts glue
Fabric paint pens
Birthday candles
Plastic birthday cake candleholders
Small metal washers

Instructions:

1. Paint wood pieces solid colors as desired. Let them dry.

2. To make candlestick, slip several painted wood pieces onto a doubled chenille stem that is covered with glue. Let dry. Decorate the candlesticks with paint pens, as desired. Slip a candle into a plastic candleholder and then slide the holder through a metal washer and into the hole of the top bead of the candlestick.
