Even in the privacy of your own home, you still need supportive sneakers (workouts should be done on a hard, flat floor -- never carpeting). After all, the right shoes can make workouts easier and less painful, says Sharon Barbano of Saucony. They key to finding the right shoe for you is your level of pronation, or how much your ankles roll inward as you walk (the flatter your arches, the more they probably roll). Saucony has options for any level of pronation, including the ProGrid Stabil and ProGrid Hurricane (pictured) for the flattest of feet.
