Take a Photo of What "Clean" Looks Like

This works particularly well when you want your kids to pitch in, says Leslie Reichert, aka The Cleaning Coach, an expert (and mom of three) who focuses on "green" cleaning. "Once you clean an area, take a picture of what you expect it to look like," she says. "Keep that photo at-the-ready so that when you ask your kids to clean up, they have a visual of what it's supposed to look like."
