Native American Leora Tadgerson will continue helping teens protect pollinators during the summer of 2010 and teach the youth to learn the importance of Native species plants including how they are used in her native culture. The Northern Michigan University student is pictured working on plans for the teens to build and paiting mason bee houses A member of the Bay Mills Indian Community, Leora Tadgerson of Negaunee, MI spent the summer of 2009 helping teens protect pollinators like bees and butterflies during the Zaagkii Project in northern Michigan.
