I'm passionate about helping kids. I mentor bullied abused children with low self-esteem. They're depressed & scared to go to school. Many are suicidal. I talk to them on my own time, free of charge. It's rewarding when a child tells me, "I'm not afraid now. I feel better about myself." I serve my community by working with mental-health professionals, helping monitor child abuse in school classrooms, and continually make myself available to those in need who come to me for guidance. Our state senator thanked me in a letter stating: “Her dedication and commitment to helping young children in their character development makes our community better for all students. She’s not only saving lives, she’s a bounty of inspiration and empowerment for all.” When you offer support to others your self-esteem rises, helping you to live in integrity, which is the root to healthiness and happiness. When you make that positive difference within yourself, you can make a difference in the world.
