Herbed Yogurt Cheese Dip

Ingredients
- 4 cups plain fat-free or low-fat yogurt
- 2 tablespoons minced green onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- Assorted fresh vegetables
Directions
1. Place nonfat or low-fat yogurt in a colander lined with layers of cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel, then set colander over a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours for fat-free yogurt or 5 hours for low-fat yogurt.
2. Transfer the strained yogurt cheese into a medium bowl and discard the liquid. Stir together the yogurt cheese, the green onion, parsley, basil, and garlic. Serve with assorted fresh vegetables. Makes 2 cups.
