Chewy Chocolate-Chip Bars

Ingredients
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened (no substitutes)
- 1/4 cup fruit-based butter and oil replacement*
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup reduced-fat semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
1. Heat oven to 375 degree F. Lightly coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
2. Beat butter and fruit-based butter replacement in large mixer bowl 3 to 5 minutes or until blended. Add sugar and beat until well mixed. Beat in egg, egg white and vanilla, scraping side of bowl. Reduce speed to low; beat in dry ingredients just until combined. Stir in chips.
3. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake about 20 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 2x1-1/2-inch bars. Makes 36 bars.
