It's summertime and the living is (so they say) easy. The fish are jumping and the cotton is, evidently, high. Your daddy may or may not be rich, but either way he should be able to afford the wines on our staff list of summer wine favorites. Pop, pour, swirl, sniff, and start sipping.

Golden Kaan Chenin Blanc

The weather is hot, and you want to serve something light and refreshing, yet refined. Golden Kaan's 2007 Chenin Blanc is an excellent choice. This dry South African wine, made from the quintessential South African grape varietal, is smooth and refreshing, with hints of apple and caramel. This vintage is sure to please any palate, and is extremely affordable, priced at just $10 a bottle. I'd pair this with fish of any kind, grilled chicken, seafood, pasta, or lightly spiced dishes.
