The Biggest Loser nutritionist Cheryl Forberg recommends thinking strategy before you even pick up your plate at a party. For starters, "Don't sit right next to the food," says Forberg. "If you know you have a weakness [like nachos], choose your place away from it. We're all mindless eaters, so if you sit right in front of the food, guess what's going to happen?"
Bottom line: It's easy to overdo it on loaded nachos, but by using lower-fat cheese and sour cream in your preparation—and grabbing a smarter portion size—you can indulge a little without blowing a ton of calories.
