Fondue Fun

You can have a romantic fondue date at home even if you don't have a fondue kit. Just break up pieces of your favorite chocolate bar, add 1/2 cup of milk or heavy cream, and use a double boiler to melt it together. You can also put the chocolate in a heat-safe tray or dish (steel works best) and balance it over a pot of boiling water. For a twist on traditional chocolate, throw in some chopped nuts, flavored extracts, or a dab of peanut butter. Use cut-up fruit, marshmallows, pretzels, or cookies as dippers -- the combinations are endless.
