Best Blush Tricks
If you rely on blush to make your skin look fresh and glowing, try these tricks for the best possible effect:
Trick #1: Go brighter than you think. Instead of a soft pink or peach blush, try a fuchsia or coral shade. Apply it with a light hand for a phenomenal glow.
Trick #2: Try two colors. If you just can't give up muted hues, use them in conjunction with another color. Apply the softer shade to the apples of your cheeks, and then sweep a hint of brighter blush on top.
Trick #3: Invest in a quality blush brush. The tiny brushes that come with blush make application too streaky. Splurge on a fluffy blush brush with a rounded tip for easy, natural-looking application.
Trick #4: Skip shimmer. Lots of blushes are infused with shimmer particles, which look great in the pot but settle into fine lines when on the skin. Stick to matte blush instead.
Trick #5: Use bronzer instead of blush. Crave a coppery glow? Use your summertime bronzer on cheeks instead of a color.
