Best Makeup for Your Coloring
Not sure which cosmetic colors would best enhance your coloring? Follow these guidelines:
If you have blonde hair
Eyes:
Start with bone shadow all over the eyelid and add taupe from the lashline to the crease of your eyelid. Use a mahogany shade as liner -- it's up to you whether you prefer pencil, shadow, or gel eyeliner.
Lips:
Blondes look great in pink. Try a sheer or medium pink lipstick or lip gloss, or something with beige undertones in it.
Cheeks:
Once again, reach for pink! Peach is another pretty option.
If you have brown hair
Eyes:
Dust bone shadow all over the eyelid and medium brown on the lid from lashline to crease. Use mahogany as a liner.
Lips:
Lip color with brown undertones and a hint of pink or plum work best for brunettes.
Cheeks:
Choose a shade of pink that looks like the color of your cheeks when they're naturally flushed.
If you have red hair
Eyes:
Use a bone shadow all over the lid, and add a mossy green or taupe shadow from the lashline to the crease of your eyelid. Select a red-brown color as an eyeliner.
Lips:
Anything from brown to brown-based peaches and pinks looks great on redheads.
Cheeks:
Apricot looks terrific!
If your hair is gray or white
Eyes:
Brush a white shadow all over the lid, and use a gray or slate on the lid from lashline to crease. Finish with a dark blue or navy liner. This combination really makes your eyes stand out!
Lips:
Opt for a coral or pale pink shade.
Cheeks:
A sheer pink or peach blush instantly lifts your face.
