Oui, Oui, Pedi

We know that French women don't get fat, now here's the skinny on their pedicure: According to Hollywood celeb pedicurist Carla Kay (clients include Gwen Stefani, Kerry Washington, and Diane Keaton), reverse French pedicures are hot for spring and summer 2011—but with a twist. First comes a coat of soft pink or nude. Then the tip is painted on with a surprise color, like turquoise, dark pink, or sunshine yellow. "Wearing brighter colors will get you ready for open-toe-shoe weather," Kay says. "Have fun with colors, so it's like you're wearing jewelry on your toes." Paint yourself into a pretty corner with trendy summer hues like eggplant, orange, yellow, turquoise, and hot pink.
