Think of primer as the anchor to your makeup. "Primer makes the skin look smoother, prepares it for foundation, and helps makeup stay on longer," says Brigitte Reiss-Andersen, Sephora celebrity makeup artist. Apply to clean skin, smoothing all over the face as you would with a moisturizer, and then follow with concealer around the nose, on the eyelids, and underneath the eyes.
