The Five-Product Face

Just because you're not the type to splurge on every new cosmetic to hit the stores doesn't mean you can't have a polished, put-together makeup look! Here, the only five products you need to look great every day, plus a step-by-step guide on how to use them:
Product Essentials: Concealer, to hide blemishes and undereye circles; loose powder, to give skin a soft-focus look; powder blush, to add color; mascara, to widen eyes; and sheer lipstick, for a finished pout.
Step 1: Dot concealer onto dark areas, like under eyes, and onto blemishes. Use your ring finger to pat -- not rub -- the concealer into your skin. Carefully blend edges so concealer is unnoticeable.
Step 2: With a fluffy powder brush, dust loose powder over concealer and on shine-prone areas like nose and forehead.
Step 3: Swirl a rounded blush brush over your cheek color, then dust onto apples of cheeks in a circular motion.
Step 4: Sweep mascara from base of lashes to ends. Allow to dry, then apply a second coat. Tip: Look downward as you apply mascara to avoid getting smudges on your lids.
Step 5: Soften lips with a bit of balm, then slick on a coat of sheer lipstick. Go for a rosy pink or warm tawny shade for the most natural look. Bonus: With sheer lipstick, you don't even need to use a mirror to apply!
