Sweet Decorating Ideas

Decorating your home with holiday food isn't a new idea, but today's gumdrop trees and cookie wreaths are really something special. And everybody is doing it! In a recent survey, 46 percent of Motherboard Moms said they decorate the tree with candy canes and 28 percent make gingerbread houses -- and that's just the tip of the decorating-with-food iceberg! Check out these new twists on edible decorations to really make your holiday season sweet.

For starters, here's a cookie wreath. Sugar cookies are a hit with kids, young and old. Bake up a big batch and let them go wild with creative designs. Then shape them into a wreath (this one has stars overlapped and baked into a ring with other cookies on top) that will bring sweet tidings to anyone who sees it.
