Lilies, roses, tulips, daisies—these are some of Motherboard Moms favorite flowers, according to a recent survey. But in spite of their love affair with fresh flowers and arrangements, few moms have the time or money to buy them very often, they said. That's why we've asked Jennifer and Kitty O'Neil (ONeilSisters.com) to help us locate some alternatives—flowery pillows, linens, and dishes—to make it easier to fill your house with blooms any time of the year.
One easy way to add floral flair (without the worry of wilting) is with pillows. Throw pillows embellished with sunflowers and asters are instant autumn, while needlepoint poinsettias always say winter. Come spring, you can lighten the mood with jonquils and daffodils. And these easy accents are so inexpensive, you can start your own Flower of the Month club!
