If your kitchen needs a facelift on a budget, look no further than a can of paint. Sand old cabinets to provide some tooth for new paint and wipe with a tack cloth. Paint cabinets with semigloss acrylic paint in a Wedgwood blue color. Using wood glue, adhere cream-painted wood appliqués to the corners and center of the cabinet door. Using an old brush, apply water-based glaze (we recommend burnt umber glaze for an aged look) over the entire surface.
