Colorful suspended flower pots

Going to Pot

Help an old fence fade into the background with a punchy grid of painted flowerpots blooming with bright annuals. For the sake of uniformity, start with pots that are all the same size. Using painter's tape, tape off the rim of the pot. Coat the pot with spray paint, following the manufacturer's directions. When dry, peel off the painter's tape. Plan your design on the fence with a level and tape measure, marking placement. Screw pot hangers to the fence according to your marks. Suspend the pots from the hangers, fill with potting soil and an annual or herb and enjoy the blooming show.
