The finished space: Freelance photographers Miki Duisterhof and Steven Boljonis left the hubbub of New York City and headed to a three-bedroom lakefront home in Connecticut. As their family grew to include son Merlyn, 4, and daughter Arabella, 2 1/2, they found they needed a kid-friendly room in which they could also entertain.
