Style on a shoestring: Most 39-year-olds would love to look like Elena Rosario. Slender yet curvy, she's got the right figure to wear just about anything. And yet her wardrobe consisted mostly of basic T-shirts, sweaters, and jeans because she didn't think she could stretch her budget to afford hipper, more fun clothes. We took her to some local big-box stores to show her what she's been missing. "I can't believe this is from Kmart!" Elena exclaimed when she first saw fuchsia top she's wearing in the photo at right. We paired it with slim pants from Target -- a knockout on her tiny frame -- and Payless patent heels. Even we could hardly believe that the entire outfit rang up for under $100.
