This is my personal favorite. It's a super pretty alternative to the traditional braid. For the most basic version: divide your hair into two large sections, then add a small piece from the outside of one section to the other section. Now take another small piece from the outside of the second section, and add that to the first -- and so on, until you've gotten most of the way down your hair. Add a cute (or invisible) elastic, and you're done. Don't worry about precision; the more uneven or piece-y, the chicer.
