Retro Glam Hair
Liv Tyler
At Home How-To: Liv TylerEveryone's favorite ethereal elf disguised her long locks into a shorter, almost flapper-like style. More elaborate, this look is suited for special occasions.
Step 1: On towel-dried hair, apply the correct styling product for your hair type from hair roots to ends.
Step 2: Pre-dry hair with a blow dryer.
Step 3: Set up hair with desired part. In small sections, set hair in small to medium hot rollers. Release curls and pin each curl up at its base.
Step 4: Gently back comb hair from lighter side of part away from face and smooth it to the back of the head, run a row of pins vertically up to secure that section of hair.
Step 5: Back comb remaining hair and bring to back of head. Wrap it into the hair already there, creating a French pleat which conceals all hair anchoring pins. If hair is long enough, loosen hair on this side for the 'shortened hair' effect before securing pins. Mist hair spray on finished style to secure it.
