I want to have front and sides short enough to frame my face, not severe, and the back beable to bring up in a bun, twist or braid. Do you have any pictures of this type that I could see?

Also when doing the chignon if you don't a chignon pillow, twist ponytail and pull end through as if forming a knot... this will give the effect of having a chignon pillow... note that this works best if you have longer hair when wrapping the ends back around the knot... for shorter hair, for a more funky or everyday look, leave ends out and spray with spray gel and hairspray to make ends stand out...

I another fun way to finish this style for a more formal look is when you are twisting the hair, instead of tucking ends under, lift up so that ends are on top. Pin side in place and let ends fall over the top of the twist. Curl ends with a curling iron to give your look a softer, yet elegant look!
