Everything from how you sit at your computer to the way you sleep can lead to chronic back pain. But you can undo this damage with these simple steps. Gently place your palm on the back of your partner's neck creating light pressure with your thumb on one side and forefingers on the other. Slowly pull your hand toward the back of the neck while squeezing your thumb and fingers together around those neck muscles. Another great beginner's move is to make a bowl with your hands and have your partner just lie back in your palms. Your fingertips should be pressing against the muscles that attached the back of the head. Gravity will do all the work here. Plus, it's great for relieving tension headaches. One thing to watch out for when massaging a neck is major arteries. You also want to avoid an indent behind the person's ear. This can trigger facial nerve damage, either one of these two methods maybe the key to ridding your partner of neck tension.
