Get the Look: Tadashi Shoji Fashion Week S/S '14
Lisa Houghton, key makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics takes us through the ethereal, chic makeup look she created for Tadashi Shoji's Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
This look is very inspired by the beautiful architecture frescos of Italy. Translated into makeup it's very beautiful, natural skin. Skin that can breathe. You can see the pores, you can see the freckles. I used M.A.C. face and body which is super sheer. It doesn't camouflage the skin. Along the eyes, rather than using color, because there's a lot of color and pastels in the collection, so I didn't want the makeup to be too girly or doll like. I used an oak shade on the eyes. A little sandy wash over the eyelids to the brow. I kept underneath the eye very clean, so no harsh eyeliner just a tiny bit of mascara on the top lashes for some girls. So very very soft and quite romantic. And then on the cheeks I used a new cheek color that's coming out called "Have A Lovely Day" It's a lovely pinky, creamy blush by M.A.C. We used that on the upper cheeks and a hint on the lips. It has a very water color, pastel tone.
