The following year the community garden strikes up an alliance with the Boys & Girls Club right across the street. More neighborhood kids get involved, planting both at the original garden and at the club. In 2005 the garden wins the Community Youth Garden division of a Wilmington city gardening contest sponsored by DuPont.
