Helping Victims of Disasters

These days Tide employees don't just sell laundry detergent -- they do the actual fluffing and folding for people in need. As part of the company's innovative Loads of Hope program, workers bring mobile laundromats to areas devastated by natural disasters and clean residents' clothes at no charge. Consumers have the opportunity to help as well; all profits from the company's specially designed vintage Tide T-shirts ($20 at loadsofhope.com) go to people affected by disaster. So far more than 20,000 survivors of tragic events such as the Red River flood in Fargo, North Dakota, and Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav have benefited from Loads of Hope.
